What’s your favourite thing about being a Project Manager

For me, it's the people. I work with so many talented people, and it's wonderful to be a part of their success. I love helping to drive a project forward and deliver incredible results. It's always very satisfying to solve a problem, remove a blocker and deliver on or above expectations.

What is the greatest challenge a PM can help a client overcome?

I think in a project it can be very easy to get focused on your own view and forget your surroundings. A PM can help provide the higher-up bird's eye view while guiding the team towards the end destination, problem-solving, blocker removing, and cheerleading along the way.

How would you describe a PM?

I think the following could all be fair descriptors for a project manager

• a manager
• a herder of cats
• a juggler
• a whip cracker
• a bulldozer
• a spokesperson
• a translator
• a guide

What makes you a unique project manager?

It's certainly not unique, but I hope I am viewed as bringing a lot of empathy to the role and a good ability to juggle and keep things going.

What’s the best advice you’ve been given?

Never let someone else's bad day become your own.
