Hi everyone, welcome to Commerce Talk. 

My name is Renne from Acro Commerce. 

I'll be beginning the very first episode of our series “Overcoming Ecommerce Challenges for B2B Manufacturers.”

In this episode, we'll set the scene first by taking a deep dive into the world of B2B manufacturers in ecommerce and their Growing Pains.

Today, we'll touch on three major challenges. Each of these presents a complex puzzle for B2B manufacturers to solve as they navigate this space.

First, for many reasons, B2B manufacturers are increasingly driven by the need to expand their sales channels, including direct-to-market initiatives. However, they often encounter obstacles in offsetting the costs and inefficiencies of their existing distribution networks.

Secondly, maintaining control over the customer relationship is extremely crucial yet integrating and optimizing disparate tech stacks —such as legacy ERPs—that do not have modern integration capabilities proves to be a significant challenge.

Lastly, providing rich, personalized online experiences to a diverse customer base is a priority. B2B buyers now expect the same digital experiences they get in their personal lives—at work. Yet, complexities in product configuration pricing models and the need for a rich content-creating ability create hurdles in delivering seamless ecommerce experiences.
