Ecommerce for distributors
Contract prices, rebates and volume breaks all have to work online.

A customer signs in to reorder something you've sold them before. They expect the price they agreed with you, not your list price.
Your store has to apply the right rule for each customer and stay in line with your ERP.
A connector moves data between systems. It doesn't decide which system controls each pricing rule. Settle that before you choose how to connect them.
These come before the platform. Our guide to ERP-centric B2B commerce explains why.
Accurate Industries distributes steam room and sauna equipment, accessories and parts in the US. Acro built its stores on Drupal Commerce. They went live on 20 July 2021.
In March 2023, Acro started connecting those stores to Acumatica. The pricing rules lived in the store. Orders, stock and shipments ran through the new connection
Customer pricing. Acumatica supplied each product's price. The store applied each customer group's rules from one table, keyed by price group and product line. It sent each customer's group to Acumatica as their price class.
Orders. Verified orders went into Acumatica with line prices, payment, tax and shipping details.
Stock & shipments. Acumatica updated store stock every five minutes. Shipment details and tracking numbers came back to the store.
Account buying. The stores supported parent and child accounts, sales-rep checkout, purchase orders and credit-limit checks.

Start with one question. Will any customer see a price online that isn't the price they agreed with you?
If not, a standard store and connector may be enough. Your ERP partner can likely set it up.
If you have contract prices, rebates or volume breaks, check how those rules move between systems before you commit. That's where we come in. For Acumatica, our Acumatica ecommerce page compares the options.
FAQ
Acro has built a distributor's stores and connected them to Acumatica, including customer pricing, orders, stock and shipments. But you may not need custom work. Check whether an existing connector covers what you need first. If you serve many accounts on Acumatica, read distributor self-service at scale.

Core is the inventory platform most product sellers use, and it does a lot without configuration. Omni is more configurable and aimed at higher-volume multichannel retail and wholesale, with deeper EDI and 3PL support. In our own capability grading Omni covers meaningfully more ground than Core, and the gap is widest in exactly those areas.
