The Magic of Faceted Search
50% of online retailers do not offer filterable search functionality. Greg Foster, Director of Sales at Acro, takes 90 seconds to explain how faceted search works and why you should have it on your site.
Searching by price, category, size, and colour: these are options an online user expects when they go to a website. However, very few B2B commerce sites offer that functionality, which could affect their conversion rates. Watch the video below to learn more.

Hey there, it's Greg from Acro Commerce, coming to you with yet another episode of Commerce Talk, where we break down Tech topics in a few minutes or less.
Today, I'm going to be unravelling the magic of faceted search. If you're not in the know, faceted search is like the wizard of online searches, giving users the ability to filter results by different categories. Think brand, colour, size or style.
One of the all-time best examples of faceted search is Amazon. They were one of the first adopters of this form of search. They use facets to let their customers filter by brand, customer ratings, price range, and more.
It's truly a game-changer. Yet shockingly, 50% of online retailers are still stuck in the Dark Ages without it. So, what's the hold-up? And what's the impact?
Well, it's massive. Faceted searches have been proven to boost conversion rates, beef up average order sizes, and minimize drop-offs.
Whether you're partnering with Acro Commerce or not, if you're in the ecommerce game, it's time to hop on the faceted search bandwagon. There are different deployment methods based on your platform and tech stack, and ultimately, cost shouldn't be a big roadblock.
Trust me, consumers expect it, and it makes finding and recommending products a breeze. So, if you are a part of that 50% clinging to outdated search bars, it's time to step into the future and get a faceted search.
