Hi, I'm Frankie, a project manager here at Acro Commerce, and today I'm going to talk to you a little bit about "Agile."
So, what is agile? Agile is a set of values and principles. It's the rebel with the cause. It's the “let's get things done” of the industry. Think of it as a culinary equivalent of a potluck dinner where different chefs bring their signature dishes to create a delectable feast.
Agile is about adaptability and flexibility. It says, “Hey, we get it; things change. Let's not be glued to a plan written in stone.” We'll break the project into smaller bite-sized pieces and chew them one at a time.
Agile doesn't just value software code; it values people and their interactions. It's like the campfire project management, where everyone gathers to share stories, sing songs, and roast marshmallows. Agile fosters collaboration, encourages open dialogue, and thrives on the camaraderie that can turn a project into a creative bonfire.
In essence, agile is always ready to adapt, building a foundation of flexibility for teams to make decisions that allow them to deliver value. And since agile is not prescriptive, we apply the Scrum framework on top of the Agile values to provide both a value system and a process.
Why don't you head over to my video on Scrum to hear more about the framework?
